Women workers face discrimination, harassment, abuse, and experience additional barriers when seeking remedies. In Sri Lanka, UNDP’s Business and Human Rights in Asia (B+HR Asia) project, funded by the European Union, supports grassroots level women’s rights organizations like ‘The Women’s Centre’.

The 2nd United Nations South Asia Forum on Business and Human Rights will take place 17–19 March 2021, with side sessions starting from 15 March. The forum will be featuring dedicated sessions for CSOs, businesses, trade unions, and NHRIs as well as country-specific sessions.
