The 30th of April marks the end of Professor Surya Deva’s six-year mandate with the UN Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises. Through all his work, Surya has been instrumental in moving the needle on business and human rights in Asia and globally. 

UNDP would like to extend its gratitude for his extraordinary dedication and support over the past six years. 

In March 2022, we sat down with him to capture his message for the business and human rights community moving forward. We also compiled messages for him from some of the many people he worked with and inspired along the way. Watch both in the video below.
